Scrappy goodness

Summer break is finally here and yet I still feel as though I haven't had a moment to breathe, but I think it's a good thing. I've been spending a lot of time with Travis and my family and catching up on my favorite TV shows along with volunteering at the hospital. I hope to document my summer activities and adventures in the next couple weeks. I hope you are enjoying summer and staying cool!

Easter Sunday: This layout was made for a sketch challenge over at Pretty Little Studio and with their new line, Sand Castle. I'm pretty sure it's my favorite to date. These pictures are from Easter 2012 and the color scheme of Sand Castle is perfect for the pastel colors that are associated with Easter!

ten reasons: I'll be the first to admit I am not the world's best hand stitcher! Even though my lines aren't perfect I really love this layout! Check out all the products I used here.

mLm: is a layout documenting the birth of Travis' first newphew,Mason Mcleod Lowe. I used up left over scraps to layer strips of paper and then punch out circles. The layout is up on the PLS website alone with the materials I used.

waiting for the storm to pass: Here is another layout I made for one of PLS's challenges. The quote couldn't be more fitting for what I needed to hear at this point in my life. I added journaling to a large shipping tag and tucked it behind the title-the focal point of my layout. Head on over to PLS to check out the materials I used on this layout.

Are you seeing a theme with all my recent layouts? Maybe a white background? I didn't even realize it until I uploaded these pictures!

Remember that any time you play along with one of the challenges over at Pretty Little Studio, you are entered into winning a $5 gift certificate!

Below are my projects for Tessa over at Precocious Paper. I found these 3 x 4 notepads (3 for $2 in the clearance section of Target-SCORE!) and was waiting for the perfect opportunity to alter them. Tessa's handmade embellishments are beautiful! The last picture is an altered mint tin turned into a gift card holder. I love that the side of the tin says "Have a blast":)

xoxo, Elise
